Human Factors Cast Foundation Limited is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity classified under section 509(a)(2). EIN: 41-4471859. Our mission is to make human factors science accessible, practical, and part of everyday life.
Programs
Foundation programs include Human Factors Cast, Human Factors Minute, Safe & Effective, the Human Factors Cast Digital Media Lab, conference coverage, interviews, articles, explainers, research, and other public education resources.
How support is used
Support helps fund public education, science communication, research, media production, community access, hosting, tools, accessibility work, conference coverage, and the basic operating costs required to run these programs.
Ways to support
- Givebutter donations: Contributions made through the Foundation campaign support the charitable mission. Donors receive documentation from the payment provider. Tax deductibility depends on applicable law and any goods or benefits received.
- Patreon: Patreon support sustains Human Factors Cast media projects, community access, supporter benefits, and related production costs. Payments tied to benefits or memberships may not be charitable contributions.
- Sponsorships: Sponsorship payments support program production and Foundation operations in exchange for agreed recognition or promotional benefits. Sponsorships are not represented as charitable gifts unless expressly documented as such.
- Merchandise: Net proceeds from merchandise purchases support Human Factors Cast Foundation programs and operating costs. Purchases are transactions for goods and are not tax-deductible donations.
- Affiliate links: Some resource or merchandise links may generate a commission at no additional cost to the purchaser. Affiliate revenue supports Foundation programs and operations. A recommendation is not purchased by the linked retailer.
Editorial independence
Sponsors, advertisers, affiliate partners, and merchandise providers do not control our research conclusions, editorial judgments, guest selection, or educational content. Paid relationships will be identified when relevant.
Leadership and governance
The Foundation is responsible for oversight of its charitable programs, finances, conflicts of interest, and compliance obligations. Additional governance and financial records will be posted as they become available and may also be requested through our contact page.
